THE SPOT
"Day of Days" highlights Jeep’s role in America’s ongoing fight for liberty and freedom, and ties into the HBO series Band of Brothers. The :30 depicts the Allied troops’ arrival at Utah beach in Normandy on June 6, 1944. As a voiceover describes this historic moment, the visuals show soldiers’ boots splashing through the surf, the faces of the Allied fighters as they make their way across the dunes, stone-faced troops riding in trucks and jeeps, and young soldiers marching to the front line. The narrator points out, "Jeep joins HBO in honoring all the men and women who served in the Second World War. HBO presents Band of Brothers." Jeep’s tag line, "Jeep. There’s only one," closes the spot over a shot of the current Jeep vehicle line on a present-day Normandy dune.
Spot broke Sept. 6.
