THE SPOTS
In "Rap Video," a group of men check out an R&B video that they’ve worked on, only to find two white guys with Smirnoff Ice bottles dancing badly amongst some of the women in the video. When the producers ask each other who invited those guys, no one has a clue. "Sergio" shows two men who are eavesdropping on a hipster’s conversation in a club. As the cool guy mentions the name "Sergio" to a pair of women, the eavesdroppers pretend to know this man and home in on the action. Cut to the fivesome jet-setting to various picturesque places, having the time of their lives, until the hipster says, "Let’s go see Sergio." The two fakers are stunned—and then relieved—when it is revealed that the man was just joking. "Rope" features two guys who turn a boring bar into a hip, cool establishment—complete with a bouncer and lots of Smirnoff Ice—across the street from a hard-to-get-into nightclub. When the bouncers from the other club attempt to enter the "new" club, the "bouncer" turns them down with a big smile. The ads end with the tag, "Intelligent Nightlife."
