THE SPOT
"Bus" opens on what appears to be a trailer for the television show America’s Most On-Time Buses. Footage of buses driving their normal routes is shown, and interviewees make such exciting comments as, "It was driving down the road and then pulled over and people got on," and, "The best part about riding in the bus for me is, I like to ride in those sideways seats." A voiceover then states, "What kind of TV shows would we have if there was no competition among networks?" as the visual switches to tunneling graphics of numbers and stock exchange tickers. The narrator continues with, "Well, there isn’t a lot of competition among stock exchanges. That’s why we’re creating a new one." The :60 ends with the tag, "Everything out in the open."
Spot broke in November.
