THE SPOTS
In "Traffic Control" (:30), three traffic controllers use their surveillance cameras to admire all angles of the 911 Carrera Porsche by stopping the driver at three consecutive traffic lights. The spot ends with the tag line, "The 911 Carrera, drive one or admire one." "Awake" opens with a man reading a newspaper which blares the headline, "Man Awake After Decades In Coma." It is then revealed that the reader is that man. Frustrated with reading the same old news, he decides to go out driving. He removes the car cover from his mint vintage vehicle—a 1955 Spyder—and hits the open road. During the journey, the driver of a new-model Boxster is drawn out of his way to follow his "roots." As he catches up to the older gentleman, one of the men exclaims "Holy," and the other "Shmoly!" The :30 ends with "Boxster, what a Porsche has always been."
"Awake" broke Sept. 30, and "Traffic Control" began airing Oct. 7.
