Director Jeff Labbé has joined Furlined for representation in the U.S. His work has over the years garnered honors at competitions including The Cannes Festival of Creativity, D&AD, The One Show and the Clios. Labbe’s recent effort for Boots No7 with Mother London and celebrated feminist author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, reframes the often times paradoxical relationship between femininity and feminism for women today.
“Being a Brit and working in the UK, I have revered Jeff for the last decade. Few in our industry have the ability to tell stories, and develop characters, in the most authentic of ways,” stated Ben Davies, EP/director of development at Furlined. “His passion for this industry, his understanding of the creative and strategic insight and his craft of the work have made him one of the U.K.’s top directors. Partnering on a diverse range of work, whilst always remaining true to his core, bringing craft, honesty and intelligence to the simplicity of a concept. The UK and Europe have been home to Jeff’s work in recent years, and now it’s the time to bring Jeff’s immense abilities to U.S. partners and brands. I am privileged and excited to take these next steps with a friend and creative partner.”
Labbe said, “I kind of feel like John Travolta being handed the script to Pulp Fiction. I’m steeped in excitement and can’t wait to jump into the U.S. market. Diane (Furlined founder/president McArter), Ben and the Furlined team are a first-class group loaded with experience of craft and artistry.”
Prior to joining Furlined, Labbé was repped by RESET. He continues to be handled in the U.K. by Academy Films.
