Editorial shop Fluid has rebranded to become BANDIT with editor John Piccolo (JP) promoted to company partner. The new moniker recommits the shop’s vision to focus specifically on the art and collaboration of the creative editorial process. Fluid has over two decades of experience in award-winning postproduction, opening its doors as an editorial boutique and successfully launching sister shops in music and sound, design and production. The SoHo-based studio has grown from a boutique to a bicoastal shop working with brands such as Pepsi, Samsung, IKEA, JetBlue, GEICO, Toyota, Budweiser, Under Armour and Dell.
JP joined Fluid in 2012 as a staff editor and rose through the ranks assuming a leadership position in the company and building new client relationships which propelled the shop forward. He has cut notable spots for such clients as Sony, NY Lottery, Crest, Pepsi, Chase, GEICO and Dell.
Laura Relovsky, BANDIT EP, said. “JP has always shared our vision and culture and I am thrilled work with him daily in his new partner capacity. Our team has always evolved with the industry and BANDIT is our next step.”
Added Piccolo, “I’m excited to expand my role at BANDIT and am grateful for the trusted team of editors who are on board.”
In addition to JP, BANDIT’s roster of editors and storytellers include: Robin Burchill, Peter Sabatino, Jim Rubino, Michael Elliot, Zeke O’Donnell and Heather Danosky.
BANDIT is represented on the East Coast by Katie Northy Samson and Jessica Millington.
