THE SPOT
A package of commercials in GEICO’s "Good News" campaign include a pathetic white rapper audition ("Rapper"), a defendant being sentenced in court ("CEO"), a soap opera love triangle ("Soap"), a disillusioned couple realizing that their new dream home needs extensive repairs ("House" and "House/Fix It"), and faux infomercials for male baldness ("Balding/Swimmer," "Balding/Runner," "Balding/Sales" and "Balding/Combo"). All of the ads feature negative situations that are capped off with good news—someone has saved a substantial amount of money on his car insurance. The spots end with the tagline, "Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance."
