THE SPOTS
"Diner" (:30) opens in an eating establishment where Angels players—including Darin Erstad, Tim Salmon and Garret Anderson—are seated at a table. The waitress asks one player if he’d like a "single stack or double," then other Angels ask for such orders as "forty taters" and "one hundred and twenty ribbies." Vladimir Guerrero winks at the waitress, and after the food arrives, one of his teammates says, "Stepping up to the plate, Vlad. … I like it." In "Spanish Lesson," several Angels players attend a class taught by some of the Angels pitchers. Manager Mike Scioscia pops in and surprises his troops by addressing them in Spanish.
