THE SPOTS
"Construction" (:30) shows a car driving down a city street, splashing through puddles of water, until it happens upon a construction barricade. The vehicle comes to a sudden halt, then switches lanes and zooms off into the night. "If your tires can’t do this, you need new tires that can … Goodyear Tires," the announcer states. "Road Debris" (:30) illustrates the same theme, as a car avoids a shower of stones falling from a rocky hilltop. And in "Sniffers" (:30), two men smell the tires in a showroom to determine which brand is "a keeper." The ad promotes a U.S. savings bond promotion in conjunction with the purchase of four Goodyear tires.
"Construction" broke April 16; "Road Debris" started airing May 1; and "Sniffers" began showing May 15.
