Davidis Film has signed director, cinematographer and photographer Bico Stupakoff. Headed by founder Alexander Davidis and executive producer Paul Babb, Davidis Film is an international media company that specializes in producing films and commercials for the automotive industry, with a particular emphasis on the fast-growing market of classic, exotic, luxury and high performance cars. Davidis Film’s team features notable cameramen, filmmakers and producers in the U.S. and Europe
Stupakoff’s photography has appeared in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, W, Glamour, Allure, ELLE, Rolling Stone, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, Grazia and Marie Claire, and includes national campaigns for GAP, Maybelline and Lee Jeans. His passion for automotive art and driving racecars has resulted in his publishing the book “The Colorful Side of Racing.” For Keno Brothers Fine Automobile Auctions he recently collaborated with the Davidis Film team in shooting 40 of the most enthralling and beautiful cars in the world.
“Bico is a cinematographer and artist known for capturing incredible lifestyle imagery, making him a wonderful addition to our Davidis Film team,” stated Babb. “In addition to the passion and emotion he shows in the subjects he films, I love the fact that his wife’s favorite car, is the 1940 Talbot-Lago.”
Davidis notes: “Bico is exactly what we are looking for in our team. His film aesthetics have a strong sports and fashion background. He’s been all over the planet and on a personal level he is a certified car-nut with an impressive racing history under his belt. He instructs race car drivers and even used to run a proper prototype car, a Johnathan Palmer Jaguar (JP1). But above all he just has a great eye for light and cars. Having him team up with our legendary Tony Mitchell [a director/cinematographer/photographer whose clients include BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, VW and Opel] on the massive Keno Brothers job was just amazing to witness.”
