Director Tim Hamilton, who has been repped in Canada since ’95 by Toronto-based Avion Film Productions, has entered the U.S. spot arena, signing with bicoastal production house Zooma Zooma.
"Michael [Schwartz, executive producer at Avion] and I felt it was time to move beyond the Canadian market," Hamilton said. He added that he felt "comfortable" at Zooma Zooma, because "I got the sense that they understood [what I am inspired by]. Some of my reel’s more unusual aspects-the sense of humor, the naturalism of the situations-they really responded to."
Zooma Zooma executive producer Joe Mantegna said he signed Hamilton because "his casting was well done. And there was this abstract weirdness and mystery to his reel that really attracted me."
