Best known for his work with Target (“Hello/Goodbye,” “Gift Card,” “Home Decor”), Budweiser, Olay, Old Navy, the NFL, and TV promos for Cougar Town and Sullivan & Son, director Steven Murashige has returned to The Artists Company for exclusive national representation.
Murashige originally broke onto the national scene via The Artists Company after rising through the ranks of the music video discipline (with clips for such artists as Incubus, Sugar Ray and Jack’s Mannequin). Murashige enjoyed a long tenure at The Artists Company before moving over to production house DNA in 2012.
“It feels great to be coming back home,” said the director. “Having been with The Artists Company for so many years previously, it feels so comfortable going to a place where I know everyone and trust that they are able to push my career forward into new territory. I feel my best work is ahead of me and that The Artists Company is uniquely capable of supporting me in my efforts.”
Murashige’s talents lay in his graphic design background that helped him become a director who can design shots and visuals that are striking, while also capturing the human element in the process. Murashige is currently in postproduction for his dramatic short film (being released next year), adding to his dialogue/performance repertoire.
Sally Antonacchio, owner/executive producer of The Artists Company, said she’s excited to be reunited with Murashige. “This is not the first time a director has come back to us. This is something I take a lot of pride in. The fact that some of my directors have tried other companies only to come back here, means that we are doing a lot of things better and giving more confidence to directors in knowing their careers are being guided in the right direction. It’s also no secret that having an ECD like director รtis allows the directors to know that they have a peer looking out for their interests, with a creative vision for the company.”
