Director Renny Maslow has joined Skunk for commercialmaking and branded content representation in the U.S. and U.K.
Specializing in comedy, Maslow has helmed spots for such brands as State Farm, Time Warner, Bud Light, Chevrolet, ESPN, Android, Diet Coke and Ikea. He received a Sports Emmy Award for best promotional announcement on the strength of the NFL on FOX “Life is Better with a Ring” campaign featuring pro football legends Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan and Troy Aikman along with celebrity cameos by Usher and Hugh Laurie.
Maslow also won a Los Angeles Indie Film Festival Audience Award in 2014 for his absurdist short film, Effed!
After a lengthy tenure at Smuggler, Maslow by moving to Skunk reunites with the company’s owner, Matt Factor. Many of the initial spots that helped launch Maslow’s career were produced by Factor, prior to when the director was at Smuggler–and before Factor had begun a stint repping Smuggler.
Among Maslow’s latest endeavors is the sports documentary Messi & Me which this month screens in New York and will be featured on ESPN FC.
