Production company Fela has signed Portuguese director Pedro Pinto for representation in the U.S. and Canada.
“We love Pedro’s distinct visual voice and audacious style,” said Taj Critchlow, co-founder and managing partner of Fela. “His work is bold, playful, and inventive. We love the range he has developed–from car to lifestyle to absurd comedy–and are eager to continue exploring those worlds with him further.”
Pinto was formerly repped by JOJX in the U.S. Fela is the first company to handle representation for him in Canada.
Pinto graduated from the National Film and Television School in London and has a background that spans acting, design, music, theater, and visual effects. His natural ability, honed by his versatile experience, allow him to draw out emotive and story-driven performances, first as a music video director and later partnering with international brands including Jeep, Google, Amazon, and Starbucks.
“Ultimately, I love solving problems and collaborating, so direction is a perfect outlet for me to express my creativity,” said Pinto. “I love to explore all sorts of subjects across a variety of brands, and I really appreciate that Fela understands my many sides. Their work is super fresh and authentic, and I connect to their mission. I’m very happy to be joining forces with them, and entering into such exciting creative markets.”
