Production company Gifted Youth has signed director Oren Brimer for commercial representation in the U.S. Brimer is known for creating emotional and comedic work. His stylistic directing chops are complemented by his exploits as a writer and producer. Brimer’s latest directorial venture, Pete Holmes: I Am Not for Everyone, recently premiered on Netflix.
Acquired by Caviar in 2019, Gifted Youth–which maintains offices in L.A. and NYC–focuses on connecting comedy, celebrities, and sketch-focused productions with major brands around the world. Passionate about inspiring people to laugh, Brimer has a body of work spanning commercials, sketch comedy, variety and narrative TV. Prior to joining Gifted Youth, Brimer had at one time been repped in the commercialmaking space by Convoy Content.
Brimer’s credits include HBO’s Crashing, which was executive produced by Judd Apatow, The Daily Show, and Bat-Canned. Brimer first entered the scene with his hugely popular digital series Badman with Pete Holmes. Since then, the two have worked together on assorted projects including The Pete Holmes Show, Pete Holmes: Faces and Sounds and Pete Holmes: Dirty Clean. Brimer is often seen working with Ryan Reynolds at Maximum Effort for commercials and has done branded content for brands such as Zoom, Pepsi, Hims, Jack in the Box, JCPenney, and much more. In 2022, Brimer won a New York Emmy Award for Best Director for his short film series, Swipe Monster. He also holds a Peabody Award and his films have premiered in top festivals around the world.
