Biscuit Filmworks has added Matt Dilmore to its directorial roster. His work spans commercials, music videos, documentary shorts, viral web videos, and other creative projects.
As a commercial director, Dilmore has helmed memorably offbeat campaigns for Got Milk?, Guinness, Pepsi, Foot Locker, Dish Network and Red Stripe, among others. Prior to joining Biscuit, Dilmore was handled for spots by Epoch Films.
Dilmore’s most recent project is the documentary short The Great Imposter, which he directed as part of ESPN’s 30-for-30 series. The short tells the story of Detroit salesman Barry Breman, who gained notoriety in the 1980s for successfully posing as an athlete at more than 20 major professional sporting events.
Dilmore has also directed music videos for bands such as The Black Lips and CSS, published a limited edition book of rare and out-of-print film stills for creative studio Partners & Spade, and co-created (with MJZ director Tom Kuntz) holiday-themed viral shorts Santasm, Warmandfuzzyfeeling, and Itstoastyinhere. Dilmore founded cult-favorite online radio show Pussyfoot in 2008 to profile innovative artists, musicians, and destinations.
Biscuit was founded in 2000 by director Noam Murro and managing director Shawn Lacy. Dilmore joins a Biscuit directorial roster which includes Murro, Andreas Nilsson, Aaron Ruell, Aaron Stoller, Bruce St. Clair, Christopher Riggert, Clay Weiner, James Gray, Jeff Low, Malcolm Murray, Mike Maguire, Philippe Andre, Steve Rogers and Tim Godsall.
