Click 3X has added director Manny Bernardez to its roster. Most recently he was creative director and director for Savage, turning out work for such clients as Nike, Columbia Sportswear, Adidas, Rockport and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Bernardez got his start in filmmaking after relocating from Caracas to Orlando where he double majored in Recording Engineering and Digital Media at Full Sail. He went on to be a co-founder of design and animation studio Unburro. After a brief stay at Teamheavy in NYC, Bernardez went west to join Nike’s Global Brand Design team. Soon thereafter he became co-leader of the Nike Brand Kitchen, where he worked on a variety of notable quick-strike viral pieces. After his stint with Nike, Bernardez relocated to Boston to take the position of VP, group creative director at Digitas, where he was the creative lead on projects for General Motors, Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC, Buick, Aflac and Olay.
While he was at Savage, Bernardez earned inclusion into SHOOT’s 2012 New Directors Showcase in large part on the strength of his Nike online spot titled “Larry Fitzgerald.”
Bernardez just completed his first project with Click 3X for the NFL. The spot, which launches this week, targets consumers who buy counterfeit sports jerseys.
Droga5 Appoints Emma Montgomery As Global Chief Strategy Officer
Creative agency network Droga5 has appointed Emma Montgomery as global chief strategy officer. She is the third global appointment for the agency this year, with Pelle Sjoenell named worldwide chief creative officer this past March, and global CEO Mark Green recently appointed this fall. Montgomery will be responsible for connecting and supercharging Droga5’s strategy and creative offerings globally. She will be based in its headquarters in New York City.

Montgomery joins Droga5 after serving as CEO of DDB Chicago. She’s been in the industry for over 20 years, and has served in several high-level leadership positions throughout her career, including as president and CSO of Leo Burnett Chicago, global CSO of TBWA, and CEO of Leo Burnett Australia. She’s also worked across a breadth of categories and multiple global clients such as Kraft, Aldi, Diageo and Molson Coors, among many others, including challenger brands and startups.
