Emerald Pictures has added Lee Einhorn to its directorial roster for commercials in the U.S. He brings a broad range of experience to his new roost, which is headed by owners Mara Miliฤeviฤ and John Duffin.
As a creative director for almost a decade at Venables Bell & Partners, Einhorn was instrumental in leading much innovative and talked-about work there for clients including Audi, eBay, Google and most notably for the Titanium Lion-winning REI #OptOutside movement. In 2018, he joined Stephen Goldblatt at creative syndicate Partners in Crime as a partner. Their collective model allows them to engage in projects and push process beyond the traditional agency framework. Einhorn’s creative work has been recognized by The One Show, Cannes, D&AD, The Andy Awards, ADC, CLIO, AICP Show, and the London International Advertising Awards.
As a director, Einhorn began his career at Mekanism followed by a role as a partner at Rabbit Content where his hybrid output as content creator for its San Francisco office––which he opened––spanned writing, directing and creative directing projects. During his tenure as creative director at VB&P, Einhorn continued to direct a few campaigns a year, a dual focus he continues at Partners in Crime.
Einhorn is a natural fit for Emerald as Miliฤeviฤ and Duffin are fellow industry vets whose experience encompasses agency, brand, and production roles. Prior to co-founding Emerald, Miliฤeviฤ worked for agencies including Media Arts Lab, ChiatDay, 72andSunny and kbs+, where she served as head of production. Duffin was with Epoch Films for just under two decades as head of production and then executive producer, followed by a role building Framestore Pictures.
Einhorn joins a lineup of directors at Emerald which includes Kosta, Rodney Lucas, Peter O’Brien, Jennifer Roberts, and Nathan R. Smith.
