B-Reel has added director Jeffery Plansker to its international roster for representation. He comes over from Supply+Demand Integrated where he directed, among other commercials, the 2013 Super Bowl ad for Fiat 500 titled “Topless.”
Plansker joins a spot directorial lineup at B-Reel which also includes Drake Doremus, Anders Hallberg, Filip Tellander, Miles Jay, Steven Tsuchida, Josh Miller, Kief Davidson, Patrik Bergh, Tom Malmros, Emil Moller, Johan Perjus, Jens Sjรถgren, Anders Forsman, Mikael Marcimain and Jon+Torey. B-Reel has offices in L.A., NYC, London, Barcelona, Berlin and Stockholm. The production house maintains three divisions: Commercials and Branded Content; Digital; and Feature Films.
Plansker described B-Reel as “a modern production company operating at the vanguard of social film and integrated storytelling. What also appeals to me about B-Reel is its understanding of how contemporary directors work. Today I see my role as more of a ‘content director’ than simply a guy that only just shoots :30 spots. I’m comfortable B-Reel can support my commercials career while accelerating my social filmmaking adventures with agencies and brands.”
Pelle Nilsson, B-Reel founding partner, noted, “Jeffery came to directing through art school and not film school. He owns a men’s bespoke clothing store and runs an underground radio station. We love that kind of diversity at B-Reel. He is present in his career and he is what B-Reel calls a “modern director” – a self-generating artist with fresh ideas and the vision of a creative director. We are already in development on a branded content series together.”
