Tool of North America has added director James Frost to its live-action roster for worldwide representation. He had formerly been handled by Rattling Stick for spots and branded content.
Born in London, Frost has spent the last 20 years of his career in L.A. working with leading brands and artists, including Radiohead, Alabama Shakes, OK Go, Norah Jones, Coldplay, Pearl Jam, The White Stripes, and Kylie Minogue. Among his notable credits are music videos for Coldplay’s “Yellow,” Norah Jones’ “Come Away With Me,” and Radiohead’s “House of Cards.” On the commercial side, he’s worked on multiple campaigns, such as Nike’s “Human Printing Press,” American Express’ “Business Gold Reward Card,” BMW’s “Comparable” and Ford’s “The Dog.”
Frost has received many accolades over his career, including honors from D&AD, Art Directors Club, The One Show, AICP Show, Webby Awards, LA Film Festival, Telly Awards, CR Annual, New York Festivals, and the London International Advertising Awards. He has also received nominations from the Grammys, MTV VMAs, Much Music Awards, Billboard Awards, BRIT Awards, MVPAs, British Design Awards and Shortlists at Cannes. His Radiohead video also continues to be exhibited in contemporary art museums around the world, and his other works have been included in places like the British Design Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Sao Paulo, The Vienna Museum of Contemporary Art, Victoria & Albert Museum London, The Museum of the Moving Image New York City, Maison des arts de Crรฉteil Paris, The Australian Centre For the Moving Image Melbourne and The Barbican Centre, London.
