Little Minx has added director Luca Guadagnino to its roster for commercial representation. Guadagnino has created a name for himself working with high end fashion brands including Giorgio Armani, Cartier, Sergio Rossi and Salvatore Ferragamo. For the latter, Guadagnino helmed a short film for the digital campaign “Walking Stories, “ an eight-part web series which took viewers to Los Angeles, Shanghai and Florence, centering on a couple’s journey as they fall in love. This project resulted in Ferragamo being named Marketer of the Year by Women’s Wear Daily.
Guadagnino has also been active on the feature-length film front. His theatrical movie “I Am Love,” starring frequent collaborator and Academy Award-winning Tilda Swinton, went on to earn a staggering 14 awards and 26 nominations including Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes and BAFTA Awards.
Guadagnino is currently in postproduction for his latest film, “A Bigger Splash” exploring the politics of desire between a man and woman lost in the Mediterranean. The film, which stars Swinton, Ralph Fiennes, Dakota Johnson and Matthias Schoenaerts, anticipates a 2015 premiere. Guadagnino is also developing the highly anticipated thriller “A Reliable Wife” based on a novel by Robert Goolrick, which follows a mail order bride who quickly turns deadly.
Rhea Scott, president of Little Minx, said, “'I Am Love' blew me away. Luca’s ability to make us, the viewer, feel so much by saying so little is uncanny. That was first and foremost, but a close second was his personality and charisma. He had me in stitches within minutes of meeting him.”
