Sonnenfeld, Romeo, Toubar named CEO, CMO, COO, respectively
Deluxe has formed a unified Creative Services division that will centralize operations of color, editorial, VFX, and all other postproduction services across multiple platforms, including: feature-length movies; web, cable and network television programs; commercials; web content; and everything else Deluxe’s clients require. The new business unit will allow all of Deluxe’s companies–Company 3, Beast, Deluxe New York, Encore, EFilm, Level 3 Post, Method Studios, Rushes–to work together more efficiently and maximize synergy.
Stefan Sonnenfeld, founder and president of Company 3, will take on the role of division CEO. Bill Romeo will move up from his post as executive VP of Encore to become chief marketing officer. Joshua Toubar, who held a similar role at Ascent Media a decade ago before co-founding successful software companies XyTech and Xymox, will serve as COO. “As the divisions among different types of content continue to blur,” said Sonnenfeld, “our new, centralized Creative Services division will offer clients greater efficiency and flexibility–and our incredibly talented artists will no longer be locked into working only on features or episodic TV or commercials.
Sonnenfeld said of his new team, “Bill has done an amazing job expanding Encore, both as an episodic postproduction facility and as a major visual effects house. Josh brings with him many years of success, most recently as an entrepreneur but also as a COO of our former parent company, Ascent Media. And he started his career working in the editorial department of Encore. He has developed a truly unique and informed perspective on our company and the industry.”
“Deluxe Creative Services is entering 2015 in a new form,” Sonnenfeld concluded, “as a centralized, platform-agnostic company that can offer an even higher level of product and service than ever.”
