Creative collective Wander–comprised of founder Aaron Weber, Eric Reinfeld, Cryssy Cheung and Phil Towle–has joined the directorial roster of Chelsea Pictures, the bicoastal production and talent management company headed by partners Allison Amon and Lisa Mehling.
Wander’s “Follow the Frog” campaign for the Rainforest Alliance was named one of TED’s Ads Worth Spreading and awarded a Bronze Lion at Cannes in 2013. The collective has created many other lauded cause-marketing content and campaigns, ranging from major clients such as LinkedIn and Apple to Oxfam and the Coexist Campaign.
This is Wander’s first partnership with a major commercial production house. Chelsea will represent them for all branded content and commercial opportunities.
“Allison and I have known Aaron for a long time, and have long admired he and his team’s passion for creating beautifully crafted and deeply moving cause-marketing,” said Chelsea’s Mehling. “We feel that the time is ripe to introduce Wander to a larger agency and client audience, and feel that their mission is very much in step with the socially conscious work Chelsea produces and believes in.”
Weber said that the opportunity to collaborate with the Chelsea team and have access to its support and resources “will allow our work to have a larger impact than ever before.”
Chelsea is represented on the East Coast by Denise Blate Roederer, in the Midwest by Sean Sullivan of Sullivan Creative Management, on the West Coast by Ezra Burke and Shane Harris of Content Chemics, and internationally and for broadcast work by Drew Baldwin.
