We hope you enjoyed the exciting Super Bowl. From iSPOT’s perspective, it’s the advertising that matters. Not the TV ads but the video that plays online after the game. Most of the advertisers aren’t making an effort to play additional video content online, but Audi launched a site, Truthinengineering.com, that extends its TV ad with a series of videos, including one on the making of the TV ad.
Last year, we covered web dramas including Lonelygirl15, which used product integration sequences for advertisers. This year, the trend continues with KateModern, a Lonelygirl15 spinoff, co-produced by LG15 and Bebo, the social networking site that is running product integration advertising for Cadbury Creme Egg and Toyota for starters.
Our iSPOT of the Week is a mockumentary from R/GA and Hungry Man for the Nokia Nseries 95 phone, which features a GPS device that is used by historical reenactors to chart the exact location of battle scenes from the War of 1812, which actually took place in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, according to the video.
Keep us posted on what’s new at your company and what great new broadband video ads you are creating.
