While most Americans are waiting for the Democratic presidential race to resume, iSPOT satisfies its political cravings elsewhere. This week, Spot Runner, the company that introduced pre-produced TV ads as a low cost alternative for local advertisers, launched the Political Advertising Program, which offers pre-produced political ads that can be used on TV and online. The online element is ads for candidate websites but the company is developing an application that will play the ads at other sites, such as YouTube and social networks. The low cost of Spot Runner ads may prompt candidates to run their ads across the web, which could make the web a prime media for political advertising, which it isn’t now.
We are continually impressed with the work featured in our iSPOT of the Week, which are among the most compelling and creative instances of broadband video advertising around and this week’s spot is no exception. Maidenform’s “This Feels Right” combines live action with animation to tell the story of a dog that crosses town to deliver a flower to a woman. Special kudos to Hatchline/Portsmouth, NH, the production company, for the way it integrated the live action and animation.
Keep on reading and don’t forget to notify us of news at your companies, especially about the broadvand video ads you’re creating and producing.
