We can’t get enough of TV/Web video integration, so we made an extra effort on the coverage of this year’s upfront. After last week’s iChat with Jack Myers, editor and publisher of the Jack Myers Media Business Report and MediaVillage.com, iSPOT spoke with four network and agency executives to get their perspectives on what kind of content the networks are selling online, how they’re selling it, how the agencies will buy, for what clients, etc., etc., etc. There are really so many issues involved in the sale of online video ads for TV content that not even our first four person iChat can cover it all. But it’s a good start.
We didn’t interview anyone from USA Network for our iChat upfront coverage, but we did speak with them about the videos they’re running to promote the fourth season of “The 4400,” a sci-fi drama with an intriguing plot twist that is a focus of not one but 78 videos that began playing Monday.
Our iSPOT of the Week is an animated video about the shape of women’s breasts and we also offer a great story on a bobblehead video program at Sikids.com. Never a dull moment!
We frequently remind readers to send in story ideas. Well, it’s time to thank readers for doing it. We’re getting lots of good ones, but of course we still need more, so don’t hesitate to contact us with your great ideas!
