B-Reel Films (BRF) has signed directors Daniel Benmayor and Ivan Grbovic for U.S. representation, Tom Haines in the U.S. and U.K., and Magnus Härdner and Olof Lindh in the American, British and Scandinavia markets. BRF is handling all five directors for commercials and branded content.
Benmayor has experience across advertising, commercial and feature film production. Benmayor’s action and adventure feature filmography includes “Tracers,” “Bruc, the Manhunt” and “Paintball” with his work gaining exposure at the Tribeca, London and Moscow Film Festivals. A veteran commercial director, Benmayor has worked with 72andSunny, Team One, and BBDO on such brands as Pirelli, Lexus, and Gilette. His international work includes spots for Fiat, Mercedes, and Soda Stream.
Grbovic has been directing commercials, music videos and features for nearly a decade. His first break in commercialmaking (Rona’s Olympic films in 2010) caught the industry’s eye and he has since been putting his mix of epic, big scale filmmaking, VFX and witty humor into his work. Grbovic is best known for his films for Bank of America, sci-fi scenes for Actimel, epic battles for Ubisoft and worldwide sports coverage on Orange featuring soccer player Zinedine Zidane.
Haines began his career creating live performance visuals for musical acts including Animal Collective, Aphex Twin and Fourtet. He progressed into the music video world shooting for indie acts and was nominated as Best New Director for Tung’s “Jenny Again” at the 2007 UKMVA awards. More recently, he has collaborated with artists like UNKLE, Temper Trap, Civil Wars, New Order and Jon Hopkins, landing multiple MVA wins. Haines has also created short films at London’s top art institutions, Tate Gallery and Victoria Albert Museum (The Future is Ours, Street Art: Painting the City, Night of the Foxes, Luminarias). His recent commercial work includes Expedia for 180LA, Morgan Stanley for Huge, NY, and Google for Google Labs.
With a number of award winning music videos and commercials under his belt, Härdner made his first mark as a painter in the Swedish art scene. With over a decade of experience in motion picture direction, he has utilized his history in painting to make highly dramatic, beautiful and sometimes comedic visual stories. Härdner is also a talented editor.
Lindh grew up in Gothenburg but soon moved to Stockholm to pursue filmmaking. He began his career making music videos, which eventually led him to the highly regarded Berghs School of Communication for further education. Upon graduation in art direction, he joined forces with BRF where he landed jobs with Nike, Spotify and Swedish Armed Forces. Lindh has been awarded the Kycklingstipendiet, Sweden’s most prestigious creative acknowledgment for emerging talent. His work has picked up recognition at FWA and Cream Awards, as well as being shortlisted at the Clio Awards and D&AD.
