Two older men savor the last couple ounces of Henry Weinhard’s beer left in their drinking glasses. One swirls the liquid his glass as if it were a rare imported wine. The other just studies his glass intently.
Unbeknownst to the two gents, they are being stared at intently, too—by three young guys wearing hooded raincoats. The standing trio—in line at the crowded pub—is waiting impatiently for the two elderly men to finish their brew and vacate the table.
"Sip," implores one young guy, as from a distance he watches one of the seated gents romance his glass of ale. "What’s he doing? Counting the bubbles?"
"That’s just great," mutters another of the frustrated men-in-waiting.
But finally the two guys at the table drink up and empty their glasses.
"The table is ours!" declares one of the young guys triumphantly. He and his buddies start to peel off their raincoats in anticipation of sitting down with their brew.
Their celebration, however, is premature. A waitress comes to the table and sets down two more glasses of Henry Weinhard’s.
Next, we see the young threesome finally seated—at an outside table in the pouring rain. They’re making good use of their hooded raincoats.
Despite the inclement conditions, the three guys seem to be enjoying their beers. One even toasts some attractive girls who are seated at another table, but on the dry side of the pub’s storefront glass.
A super explains: "Beer Means More Here." It’s the slogan of a continuing Henry Weinhard’s campaign in the Pacific Northwest. Part of Miller Brewing, Weinhard’s is billed as being the leading maker of specialty beers in the Pacific Northwest.
