Vince Gilligan, creator/director/writer of the lauded Breaking Bad, has joined the directorial roster of bicoastal production house Interrogate for commercials and branded content. This marks his first career representation in the ad arena. Gilligan is currently filming his next series for AMC, Better Call Saul, a spinoff of Breaking Bad starring Bob Odenkirk.
Gilligan got his start as a writer on the TV series The X-Files. He went on to pen the theatrical feature Hancock starring Will Smith. That same year Breaking Bad premiered on AMC. Gilligan has won Emmys, WGA, PGA and DGA Awards for his work on Breaking Bad, which wrapped its final season last year.
Gilligan won the DGA Award this year for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series on the strength of the “Felina” episode of Breaking Bad. He earned his first DGA Award nomination in 2012 for the “Face Off” episode of Breaking Bad.
Interrogate is headed by its founder and managing director Jeff Miller, and executive producer/partner George Meeker.
