THE SPOTS
Two music video-style spots feature young celebrities singing and dancing in a gooey, chocolatey Twix candy bar environment. "Remote Control" (:30/:15), opens on what appears to be a music video for the up-and-coming girl group Dream. But the scene changes to a pair of guys watching the "video" on television. The channel is switched to a video of a polka band, and next Lil’ Bow Wow, the 13-year-old rapper appears. One of the guys hits the remote one too many times and all of the performers unite in an otherwordly place representing the three different parts of the Twix candy bar. Back in the living room, one of the guys points the remote at his friend and replaces him with the Dream girls. "Head Spin" (:30/:15) shows choreographer/performer Savion Glover tap-dancing in limbo, as chocolate splashes each time his feet hit the ground. As he dances, the camera pulls back to reveal a group of swing dancers in action. A cookie breaks when they do their dip, as they retreat and Glover continues tapping. Next, a woman dances to the strains of an Indian beat, and finally a combination of musical genres and dancers overlap as caramel oozes over a cookie flying through the air.
Spots broke Feb. 21.
