Beast, a national creative editorial company, has acquired Go Robot!, an award-winning New York-based editorial boutique. Like Beast, Go Robot! is known for its high-profile commercial work, and has been a fixture in the industry for over 15 years, earning assorted accolades ranging from AICE Awards to AICP Show honors, Clio, Andy and Cannes Lions, among others. As part of the acquisition, Go Robot! staff joins the team at Beast, a Deluxe Entertainment Services company–including Go Robot! co-founders Adam Liebowitz and Alisa Sheinberg, who now serve as Beast sr. editor and managing director respectively.
“We’ve had a tremendous run, but when presented with an amazing opportunity to scale up our services and build a new super team of talent, we couldn’t resist. Beast has an extraordinary roster and our work nicely complements theirs. Also, Beast’s nationwide network of boutiques will help us extend the markets that we’re able to service, so our collective clients can enjoy stronger offerings from all sides,” said Liebowitz.
Igor Kovalik, editor and co-founder, Beast, added, “We already have such a rich talent pool in New York, and adding Go Robot!’s editors and finishing artists into the mix not only amps up Beast’s capabilities, but will help make us more creatively resonant in the community.”
Given the inherent creative synergy between the two companies, the merger was a natural progression, and rounds out Beast’s postproduction workflow with the addition of new motion graphics and finishing capabilities. Go Robot! joins Beast’s network of offices–which span Santa Monica, Austin, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta and San Francisco as well as New York–and will continue to operate out of its current facility on 22nd Street, just a few blocks from Beast’s NY office. Recent Go Robot! work includes spots for Starbucks, NASCAR, Synchrony Financial and AT&T.
