Hybrid creative and production studio Ammolite Inc. has added Italian designer Teresa Fogolari to its directorial roster for commercials, branded content and music videos. This marks her first representation in the U.S. Fogolari–who will serve as a director and creative director at Ammolite–specializes in 3D sculpting, animation, and motion design and has a penchant for dramatic, emphatic visuals.
Fogolari studied at the University of Arts in London and earned her degree in creative direction. She further explored her skills at Lucy Hardcastle Studio Ltd., where she directed and was lead 3D designer on projects for such brands as Prada x Yoho! Boy and Calvin Klein Jeans, and worked as a designer on an installation for V&A. Her other directorial credits span clients including Hoxton, AGR x PlayStation Playable, ANAME and BLOK.
Fogolari’s playful works aim to push the boundaries of reality, by blending real shapes and dreamlike scenarios. Her work spans a wealth of mediums, from digital content to printed editorials, from commercials to artistic practice. She continues to explore the potential of 3D through new technologies, including VR and AR, to bring her visions to life.
Kirsten Arongino, managing director of Ammolite, said, “Teresa’s portfolio is extraordinary and diverse. Her work has sparked debates over the boundaries of ethical practices in design and inspired others to test the limits of their imaginations. We’re thrilled to add her passion for her craft and her skills in digital design to our creative team.”
Fogolari said that being on the Ammolite roster “will elevate my exposure in the industry and challenge me to continue producing groundbreaking and provocative work.”
Prior to signing with Ammolite, Fogolari consulted with 3D designer Sai Aya.
