Directors Sinuhe Xavier and Vic Huber have joined Aero Film, rounding out a roster than includes helmers Ken Aldridge, Jim Mangold and company founder Klaus Obermeyer.
Xavier is an award-winning commercial director and photographer. A professional skier for The North Face turned artist, Xavier left life in the mountains for the hills of Hollywood. Since his departure, he has helmed campaigns for brands such as Toyota, Jeep, Land Rover and Gillette. Prior to joining Aero, he was with Third Street Mining Company. Earlier Xavier had been with Bandito Brothers, and before that had done some work via Smuggler.
“I thought of Aero as this juggernaut car shop–which they are–but it was also really nice to see how much the company had evolved and expanded the roster since I last took a serious look,” related Xavier. Aero also really has the support system in place for me to take that next step in my career.”
Huber’s love of photography was the impetus for his ambitious career choice – booking his first professional shooting job in his early 20s. He spent his 21st birthday in Japan shooting a press tour for Mazda. Huber grew up in L.A., becoming car obsessed and found all things automotive a constant source of inspiration.
“It’s no secret Aero loves car work, and Vic’s is some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. Simply stunning. He’s such a consummate professional. His technical knowledge and love of new camera tech is what keeps him creating better and better work,” said Aero founder/exec producer Lance O’Connor.
Prior to joining Aero, Huber was with production house Recommended.
Aero has offices in Munich, London, New York and its main office is situated on the runway at Santa Monica airport.
