THE SPOTS
Three :30s show the lengths that people will go to in order to protect their Continental tires. In "Squirt," a man looking out of his office window sees a canine approach his car and sniff the tires with obvious intent to relieve himself. The exec dashes down the stairs and throws himself between the dog, whose leg is lifted, and his precious tire. The man then stands, smiling happily, with a wet stain across the front of his shirt. "Thief" features a man removing his tires and placing them inside his locked car. He explains to a policeman that "You can’t be too careful," as the auto is shown standing on cinder blocks. In "Wash," a guy painstakingly cleans his tires with a toothbrush. As he admires his handiwork, he is oblivious to the fact that the rest of the vehicle is caked with mud.
