THE SPOTS
Three humorous :30s highlight the tagline, "Stay smart. Stay at a Holiday Inn Express." In "Ebola," a group of scientists clad in protective suits listen to a man discuss the virus. After a vial containing the disease crashes to the ground, the man reveals that he’s not a scientist, but he feels smarter because he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. Similar scenarios are revealed in "Meltdown," where a nuclear emergency is averted by a man with a tour group, and "Shark" in which a great white "expert" tosses blood into the ocean while a diver is in the water.
