The Filmworkers Club, Nashville, has added Melissa Lundgren as director of operations, a newly created position at the post facility.
Lundgren has spent the past nine years as a freelance producer, production manager and production coordinator in the Nashville film/video community, where she has worked on spots, music videos and corporate projects. Her credits also include a stint as an assistant coordinator on the Spike Lee-directed feature Get On The Bus. She has worked for such Nashville companies as Cloudland Filmworks and The A/V Squad, as well as for out-of-town production houses, including bicoastal/international Propaganda Films and Chicago Story.
An L.A. native, Lundgren started out during the late ’80s working on the former ABC TV series thirtysomething. She spent three seasons as a principal stand-in, photo double and production assistant on the show, before moving to Nashville in ’90.
Lundgren related that she has been familiar with Filmworkers and company VP/general manager David J. Bennett from the projects she brought to the facility since its inception. She said the company had an opening following the departure of scheduler/production coordinator Linda Castleman, who is retiring.
