Spontaneous Combustion, the New York-based digital studio specializing in the creation of visual effects for the advertising, broadcast and film industries, has hired Flame artist Adam Gascoyne.
In his new post, Gascoyne will work closely with company executive director/creative director Tony Robins and Flame artist David Reynolds. Gascoyne comes to Spontaneous Combustion from The Framestore, London, where he was a Flame operator and worked on commercial/ promotional projects for Comic Relief, Citron and Nickelodeon as well as George Michael’s music video entitled "One," and six one hour TV shows for the Hallmark series Alice in Wonderland, which are currently airing in the U.S.
From September ’94-April ’96, Gascoyne held a number of positions at Cinesite Europe Ltd., London, including Flame/Fire operator on such music videos as Another Level’s "Be Alone No More," Gary Moore’s "One Good Reason," Fugees & UB40’s "Tell Me Is It True" and Addict’s "Dust." Gascoyne also worked on MTV Channel IDs and the multi-award winning BBC series The Human Body. Earlier in his career, he freelanced as a production assistant at Molinare Ltd. and Complete Video, both in London.
