Editor Laura Milstein-who specializes in fashion and beauty spots-has joined The Blue Rock Editing Company, New York. She spent the last 14 years at now closed Shoot First Editorial (formerly Jeff Dell and Partners) where she began her career and worked her way up to partner.
"Laura’s very talented," Blue Rock president Ethel Rubinstein said. ‘We are able to allow her to function independently [with her existing clients] and offer support so she can grow."
"There’s no other company that’s like this," Milstein enthused of Blue Rock. ‘This is a place where I can continue to work with my clients and serve them best [and also] grow with the support of a great staff."
At Shoot First, her work included the "Easy, Breezy, Beautiful" campaign for Cover Girl and "Don’t Imitate. Innovate" campaign for Hugo Boss, both out of New York-based Grey Advertising.
Her fashion and beauty bent contributed to her decision to join Blue Rock. Blue Rock founder/CEO John Palestrini has the same specialty, but had phased himself out of the editor’s chair to manage the growth of the company.
Milstein’s first Blue Rock projects are a Pantene campaign and a Remington spot titled "Blow Drying," both through Grey Advertising.
Milstein joins a Blue Rock editorial roster comprised of Michael Charles, David Cornman, Lenny Friedman, Maciek Godlewski, Ilene Hochman, Reb Kessler, Peter Klaus, Oren Sarch, Nico Sheers, Chip Smith, Gregg Suskin, Steve Bodner Brent Prince, Oliver Wicki, Sloane Klevin and Sylvette Artinian.
