Anonymous Content’s in-house creative incubator, The Lab, has re-teamed with HP on a film after developing last year’s short Wake Up, directed by Olivia Wilde (Booksmart).
Directed by Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go, One Hour Photo) via production house Anonymous Content, the new film is The Wolf, the brand’s fourth iteration of the character starring Mr. Robot’s Christian Slater as a charmingly sinister hacker.
Created to introduce HP’s Wolf Security, an endpoint security system that focuses on people working form home, the film is a prime example of how brands are working with entertainment partners from the very beginning stages: with The Wolf series being focused on cyber security, who better to develop it than Anonymous Content, the company that produced Mr. Robot, and Anonymous Content talent agency client, series writer Ted Kupper, whom The Lab tapped to work with them and HP on the concept and script.
The long-form video will be broken into shorter clips airing on digital channels and connected TV. The campaign, which targets both consumers and businesses, just launched in the U.S. this week and will begin rolling out to other markets and include airport marketing and out-of-home.
