Zuma Digital, a DVD design, authoring and production facility, has restructured into three independent divisions: Zuma Digital Studios, Zuma Exhibits and Zuma Research.
Parent company Zuma Digital has worked on numerous feature films, documentaries and music video releases which now become the province of the new Zuma Digital Studios, a DVD audio/video production facility. Its clients have included Fox Lorber, Criterion Collection, Panasonic Interactive, Palm Pictures, Waterbearer Films, Goodtime/Universal, and First Run Features. Zuma Digital Studios’ music arm offers such services as analog and digital audio production, encoding and mastering, Surround Sound mixing and masters. Zuma Digital Studios will add DVD audio production as part of an ongoing relationship with Sonic Solutions, Marin County, Calif. Recent projects include "Lou Reed: Rock ‘n’ Roll Heart," "Return of Ruben Blades," and "Sun Ra: A Joyful Noise."
Zuma Exhibits provides turnkey design, development and fabrication of exhibits and interactive displays for the museum, attraction and trade show industries. For the University of Kentucky Basketball Museum, Zuma created a complete DVD-video and control system installation for 20 exhibits, including the centerpiece Surround Area Show, with 15 monitors. For the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Zuma created and installed a large-scale control system with multiple DVD-video, live camera, and computer graphic sources and environmental interactivity.
And Zuma Research develops DVD digital video presentation and archiving solutions, from the creation of searchable online databases to organizing and logging master tapes, through menu design and interactive navigation.
