THE SPOTS
Three :30s feature portraits that show the uniqueness of Cleveland, home of The Plain Dealer, and some of its people. "Music Man" spotlights Bob Kravos, a machinist by day, a polka player by night, the grandnephew of polka king Frankie Yankovic, and a frequent visitor to an accordion repository housed in the basement of a Cleveland home. "The Market" features a woman who heads a family-owned specialty food market. And "Street Hockey" focuses on a college student whose eclectic interests includes robotics, philosophy and juggling. The ads ends with the tagline, "This is my city and this is my paper."
Spots broke in September.
