THE SPOTS
A trio of :15s utilize typography to ask questions that seem hypothetical, but are now possible with the TiVo service. Opening on a turquoise screen, "Brightness" considers, "What if your TV were bright enough to record your favorite shows automatically?" A futuristic channel guide in "Preview" asks, "What if every day you came home to a list of shows selected just for you?" And in "Static," a screen covered with "snow" wonders, "How can you watch a show if you don’t know it’s out there?" As the copy fades, the spots transition into a live-action segment that showcases Digital Network Recorder’s high-tech features, and invites the viewer to check out sony.com/dnr.
Spots broke July 10.
