With the U.S. theatrical release of Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant just a couple of weeks away, 20th Century Fox has released another original video for the much anticipated sci-fi blockbuster, this one featuring the film’s female protagonist Daniels (portrayed by Katherine Waterston).
Directed by Luke Scott of RSA Films for agency 3AM (concept by Ridley Scott), this marketing short titled "She Won’t Go Quietly" finds Daniels teaming up with MUTHER, the Covenant’s onboard AI, to combat a hostile threat.
“She Won’t Go Quietly” is the latest in a series of marketing shorts created by Scott and 3AM for Fox. The first, “Last Supper,” was the official Covenant prologue film depicting the entire crew—all 15 cast members—gathering for a final meal before entering cryosleep. “Last Supper” quickly went viral and trended across social media. Next up was “Meet Walter” featuring Michael Fassbender, which garnered rave reviews for it’s intriguing and chilling in-world backstory of Covenant’s synthetic, Walter, and brand partnership with AMD. And last week saw the release of “Alien: Covenant x Audi lunar Quattro,” the ominous branded film in partnership with Audi, which stars the Audi lunar Quattro, an actual Moonrover that appears in the movie.
