Production house Tomorrow has signed director Emma Debany. She was previously represented by Lord Danger in the U.S.
Debany is a director, writer, and designer with a keen sense of art direction and impeccable comedic timing. Her work has a humor at its center that celebrates the absurd and embraces the ironic. Her recent Jack in the Box campaign explores Millennial tropes including goat yoga and online dating, while her Little Ugly Products invites you to feast your eyes on an ill-fated corporate trainwreck. Her credits also includes spots for Popsockets, Mattel, and Conoco, among others.
Her most recent project, a comedic and quirky campaign for goPuff created with VIA, represents the brand’s first-ever advertising. VIA CCO Bobby Hirshfield said that Debany immersed herself in the project, “collaborating with us and pushing the work to be better.”
Chris Zander, Tomorrow co-founder and managing director, said of Debany, “We were all drawn to her smart and quirky work immediately, and think she has the toolbox to be successful in this day and age. We are excited to help her develop and advance her career while ensuring she is able to remain true to her voice.”
“I’ve always loved twisting perception, playing with the unexpected, and finding humor in the surrealness of everyday life” said Debany. “Tomorrow understands what I’m creatively going for and how we can best channel it into innovative work.”
Based in L.A. and Brooklyn, Tomorrow is the branchild of Zander and independent filmmaker Andrew Wonder.
