Brand New School has added Arnaud Boutin to its directorial roster for commercials and branded content.
Parisian-born Boutin began his career as an art director and illustrator for Colette, Vogue, and I-D. He launched his directing career as the “AB” of the ABCDCD directing collaborative, who made names for themselves with 2009’s Lily Allen music video "Fuck You" which earned the group (consisting of Boutin, Camille Dauteuille and Clement Dozier) a slot in the 2010 SHOOT New Directors Showcase. Boutin went solo in 2015 and has since lent his creative vision to brands including American Express, Range Rover, Absolut, and AXE. Additionally, he has collaborated with record labels such as Ed Banger, EMI, Sony, Kitsune; and numerous fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Vogue, and Opening Ceremony. Boutin is also a prolific author and illustrator who is globally commissioned for advertising and editorial projects. Prior to joining Brand New School, Arnaud was repped in the commercialmaking arena by production house Alldayeveryday.
Boutin said of Brand New School, “The value they place on visual voice and design-driven solutions are perfectly aligned with my filmmaking philosophy.”
Devin Brook, managing partner at Brand New School, said of Boutin, “His ability to use design as a solution to solve complex problems is a natural fit for Brand New School, and what we offer our clients.”
