Director Jeffrey DeChausse has joined Seed Media Arts, the production company headed by owner/DP Roy Skillicorn.
DeChausse’s clients include Apple, Lexus, Toyota, Maven, Jeep, New Balance, Fidelity, ADT, Intel, ancestry.com, Waterwipes, UBS, First Citizens Bank, Blue Cross, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Bank of America, Northern Trust, Budweiser, Laugh Lounge and Samsung. Prior to coming aboard the Seed roster, he had been freelancing for quite some time, working through his own company Tiny Elephant which he continues to maintain.
“Jeffrey is a true ‘interdisciplinary artist.’ As a seasoned commercial director, he draws from several roles within his aesthetic career. Being a creative director, designer, writer and fine artist allows his craftsmanship and artistic sense to shape beautiful cinematic imagery within thought provoking messaging,” said Skillicorn who also cited the filmmaker’s strong docu-style and performance endeavors as well as his recently developed, visually engaging automotive work.
Having the knowledge from both sides of the business, as an agency creative director and on the production side as a director and producer, DeChausse–a long-time friend of Skillicorn–comes to the table with a broad knowledge and understanding of the industry. His extensive experience in international media production, even through post, contributes to a full understanding of bidding and securing offshore opportunities.
Kris Mathur, EP of Seed, a Chicago-headquartered house with an office in L.A., said of DeChausse, “As an adroit storyteller, he not only establishes authenticity and emotion but adeptly brings about a cinematic film quality to each project.”
DeChausse becomes part of a Seed directorial roster which includes Erin Sax, Hans Emanuel, Jason Lindsey, Rick Wayne, Corey Rich, George Mays, Gabriel Borrgetto, Magellan, and Anthony Pietromonaco,
