Sung Chang, formerly executive creative director at AKQA, has been appointed chief creative officer of MRM//McCann East.
Chang has over 18 years of advertising and design experience leading creative, building new practices and departments, and helping brands and agencies embrace and integrate digital. In addition to his extensive digital experience in platform, mobile, UX and social, he has successfully developed TV and print campaigns as well as new product design and innovations.
Prior to AKQA Chang was SVP and executive creative director at Ogilvy & Mather for Nestlé, Motorola, American Express, Castrol, BP, Cisco, SAP, DuPont, Metlife and Yahoo! He began his career pioneering interactive TV at NBC Television and has built mobile apps, payment systems, interfaces and experiential installations for Sony, Nike, Kraft and Time Warner. He has taught at Columbia University and the Miami Ad School and teaches currently at the School of Visual Arts.
