Marina del Rey, Calif.-based production company Backyard has signed director David Tindale for U.S. commercial representation. He has extensive experience as in-house creative director on the agency and brand side, and then migrated into directing. After kicking off his career in marketing, he began working as an in-house creative director where he often took the responsibility of directing the concepts that he crafted. After the viral success of several of his original films, he quickly caught the attention of top snowboarding brands and began directing original content for Burton and Forum Snowboards, including helming Burton’s 2012 feature film Thirteen. After committing to directing full time, Tindale created commercial campaigns and online content for such brands as Audi, Volkswagen, JetBlue, YouTube, Target, Red Bull and ESPN….
Not To Scale, a film and animation content studio, has added director Kris Merc to its roster for representation worldwide.
