Andrew Scrivani, The New York Times’ Food Section photographer, is joining the directorial roster of The Artists Company. He has decided to take his talents to the small screen after having been approached by various advertisers for not just his image-making but also his significant online following and distribution channels, including his "making SundaySauce…" blog and substantive Instagram presence.
Scrivani has been photographing and filming for The New York Times Food Section since 2002, the NYT premier Recipe column “Good Appetite” by Melissa Clark since 2005 and is now a featured contributor for the NYT Cooking Site and App.
In addition to his continued work with NYT, speaking engagements and shooting stills and motion for various outlets, Scrivani leads off his tenure at The Artists Company with a spot for celebrity chef/Iron Chef contestant, Hong Thaimee, for her sizzling East Village Thai restaurant NGAM. Partnering with post-house Fluid, the spot was cut by John Piccolo, graded by Matthew Rosenblum with music by Butter Music & Sound and mix/sound design by David Wolfe of Mr. Bronx.
Sally Antonacchio, EP/owner of The Artists Company, said, “It’s an exciting time in our business where people are finding content creators from a variety of different venues. If you have even a passing interest in food or dining, you will have certainly seen Andrew’s work. His imagery has been influencing the visual pastiche of food shooting for over a decade. He now brings his aesthetic to advertisers who have been clambering for ‘the real deal’ when it comes to the beauty and artistry of shooting mouth watering food.”
Scrivani is available for shooting worldwide.
