Cory Berg, a popular and respected line producer, unexpectedly passed away from pneumonia on January 19, just a few days after he had come down with a cold. He was 42.
Born in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Berg graduated from Elk Grove High School, where he served as class president, and then went on to Loyola University in Chicago. He started his career as a PA in Chicago before moving to Los Angeles. Berg was not only a line producer loved by production companies, agencies, vendors and crews, but also a drummer, an exceptionally good cook, and an excellent dancer. He traveled the world and brought real joy to the lives of all who were fortunate enough to meet him. A man of intense focus and taste, Berg led a life filled with music, great food and friendship. His spirit, class, kindness, and humor will be deeply missed.
Berg was the loving husband of Kristine, dear son of Jack and the late Bonnie. brother of Dina, brother-in-law to Ron. uncle to Carter. nephew and cousin to many. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Archie.
Services will be held on Tuesday at Forest Lawn in Hollywood.
